Valley Metro Light Rail

The folks behind light rail expects traffic to become serious in January, when more people start back to work.

However, with gas prices at a low mark in some time, the decision to ride or drive may not be as crucial as it was just a few months ago. Still, the idea of not putting miles on a vehicle will likely push more to ride.

Metro planners are expecting 26,000 per day to ride light rail. The other benefit are businesses along the route, as they hope and expect to see an increase in foot traffic.
